College Aims and Objectives

The College offers a dynamic exploration into ways of working with the Waldorf Curriculum outside the normal school structure and requires of students a high level of motivation.

Major aims of the college include:

1. Experiential education with an emphasis on science and art

2. Project based cross-curricular learning

3. Students taking up co-responsibility for
          • Their learning
          • The functioning of the college

4. In addition to group class activity, students will develop an individual 'learning quest' with the support of their tutor

5. Journeying as a learning experience

6. Education in the community - utilising the broad range of talents and skills that the professionals and the institutions in our community can offer.

7. Co-operation and support of mixed age groups. The college may take students into Year 1 and subsequent years at a slightly older age. Integration of mixed age peer groups is thought to be helpful and beneficial to achieving greater levels of co-operation and individual responsibility.
